VolunteerTeam Ministry
Have you ever longed for adventure, an opportunity to travel, and a chance to make a difference in the world? At Seeds of Hope we offer just that, with our exciting opportunity to travel with a team on a short term mission’s trip. We send about 10-11 teams a year to help serve at our projects. Most of the teams help support our largest project in Zambia. However, we also have sent teams to our project in South East Asia. Each team travels with a specific purpose to meet a need, whether it is at our school, orphanages, feeding programs or meeting the needs of those within the community. We have sent medical teams, dental teams, teacher teams, youth teams and more. When you join with us in team ministry you will work alongside the local staff, who are responding to God’s call on their lives by caring for the needy and oppressed.
For more information about upcoming teams email our Team Director Mary-Ellen at teams@seedsofhopecm.com
Office Help
Another great way to help support Seeds of Hope Children’s Ministry is by supporting us here at home. Our office is
located in Abbotsford and we need volunteers to help us with mailings and fundraiser events. If this is something you are interested in send an email to admin@seedsofhopecm.com
Orphan Aid Thrift Store
After hearing about the difference Seeds of Hope is making in the lives of orphans overseas, a group of people got together all passionate about supporting this cause. They decided to open a thrift store, where all the proceeds go directly to support the work of Seeds of Hope. This thrift store is run entirely by volunteers, coming around the common goal of making a difference in the lives of children. If you are interesting in helping:
Seeds of Hope Children's Ministry is looking for a Masonry Project Supervisor. We are building eight children's homes for children orphaned because of HIV/AIDS. Our project is in Ndola, Zambia. Zambia is a peaceful country, English is the main language but being a third world country, building has many challenges (finding qualified trades people, good materials etc.). The successful candidate needs to be flexible and work well with people of different cultures. Housing will be available on site. Remuneration: Working for us, the successful candidate needs to see this not as job but a ministry. As a charitable organization we prefer that our overseas Workers raise their own support. As part of their support, their medical, insurance and housing will be covered. However, Seeds of Hope Children's Ministry would be able to negotiate these terms to a successful candidate. As we are a children's ministry, the successful candidate needs to have a police background check and references.
responsibilities will include but not limited to:
